Since You’re Leaving Anyway, Take Out the Trash

Written by Dixie Cash

Debbie Sue runs a hair salon in a converted gas station acquired in her divorce settlement from Buddy Overstreet, the local sheriff. She learns the wife of the richest man in town (and her best repeat customer) is found murdered. The salon is a hotbed of gossip and her ex-husband has insider information, so Debbie Sue and her best friend and co-worker Edwina set out to solve the crime when they hear there is a $50,000 reward.

The antics of Debbie Sue and Edwina stumbling through their investigation, the obvious attraction between Debbie Sue and Buddy, Edwina and her exNavy Seal boyfriend, a cross dressing accountant, Debbie Sue’s retired barrel racing horse (who loves Twinkies and beer) Buddy’s current school teacher girlfriend, and Quint, Debbie Sue’s on-again, off-again boyfriend, the laughs just keep on coming.

After all is said and done, the Domestic Equalizers private investigators, formed by Debbie Sue and Ed, will provide many more stories to come.

I was tickled to find out that Dixie Cash is actually two persons, one actually living here in Granbury. You will love their simple, easy-to-read stories. Light mysteries, light humor and light romance.
